Events & Programming
Throughout 2026 the Chicago Arts Census will present a variety of public programs and events in person and online. Gathering is a key part of building a base of power to activate change. In the spring we kick off this year of programming with a series of Town Hall presentations scheduled throughout the city to introduce the tools we've created from survey responses.
Town Halls are designed as an initial entry point into the data; offering context, language, and tools to help you engage with and use the findings in your own work and communities. Additionally, this is an invitation to see ourselves as part of a shared workforce, to understand the conditions we face in common, and to begin using this information as a tool for collective action.
In the summer we will begin thematic programming inspired by the issues and opportunities raised by arts workers who responded to the first Chicago Arts Census survey. Many of these programs will be presented in partnership with groups already working on improving living and working conditions in Chicagoland. We hope to end the year with a gathering of people interested in imagining the future of this collaborative work.
Events that require registration will generally be listed on the Chicago Arts Census eventbrite page. You can follow the Chicago Arts Census on eventbrite to get notifications when new events are announced.
Feel inspired by something you see in the data? Propose an event or program! Fill out our Feedback + Inquiries Form or send us an email at census@acreresidency.org with your idea. Even if we aren't able to help produce the program, we might know someone who can!
